Tata Motors is known for its stronghold in the Indian automobile market. The company is preparing to launch its popular SUV, Tata Sierra, in a new style. This is great news for Tata car lovers, because the Sierra is being planned to be launched in all three variants – petrol, diesel, and electric (EV).

It is expected that this great SUV will be seen running on the roads by the end of 2025, especially around Diwali. Tata Motors has prepared this vehicle with new-age technology and a stylish look, which will make it stand out in the market.

The old Sierra is still remembered by people for its attractive boxy design and strong build quality. The new Sierra is carrying forward the same legacy and comes with advanced features and eco-friendly options. The company has decided to offer it in electric versions in addition to petrol and diesel, so that it fits the needs of today.

This move will not only give more options to the customers but will also strengthen Tata Motors’ leading position in the electric vehicle segment. So, in this article, let us know in detail about these three variants of the new Sierra.

Tata Sierra Engine and Performance

Tata Sierra is also special because it will come with three different powertrain options. The petrol variant will get a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, which will generate 168 horsepower and 280 Newton-meters of torque. The same engine will also be seen in the Tata Safari and Harrier. It will be launched with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The diesel variant will be powered by a 2.0-liter Kryotec engine that produces 167 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. It will also be offered with both manual and automatic transmission options.

Now, talking about the Sierra EV, it will have a powerful battery pack. Although its exact details have not been revealed yet, it is believed that it will give a range of up to 500 km on a single charge. It has been designed on Tata’s Gen2 EV platform, which will make it more strong and reliable.

Apart from this, fast charging technology will be provided in it, so that it can be charged up to 80% in a few hours. Due to all these features, Tata Sierra EV can prove to be a great vehicle of the future.

Design and Features

The look of the Tata Sierra will be largely inspired by the old model, but it will also have many modern upgrades. Its boxy shape will give it a strong presence on the road. It will have LED headlamps and connected DRL, which will give it a more premium look. Flush-fitting door handles and large alloy wheels on the side will make it more stylish.

At the same time, LED taillights and an integrated spoiler will be available at the rear. The special thing is that this new model will come with five doors, while the old Sierra was only three-door.

Now if we talk about the interior, it will get a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Apart from this, it will also have features like dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats, and a panoramic sunroof.

Sierra will also be great in terms of safety. It will have Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), a 360-degree camera, and multiple airbags. All these things will make it a premium and family-friendly SUV, which will be liked by both youth and family.
