Kia India has launched the new facelift version of its premium electric SUV, Kia EV6, priced at Rs 65.9 lakh (ex-showroom). This car is in the news not only because of its great design but also because of its new technology features and long range.
Kia first showcased this car at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025, and now it has been officially launched in the market. Amidst increasing environmental awareness, this electric car can become a great option for Indian customers.
The company has made many updates in this new facelift model, making it a more attractive and better option than before. The new Kia EV6 Facelift has a bigger battery, more range, and more advanced features than before.
This car can run up to 663 km once fully charged, making it a great option for long journeys as well. This move by Kia is an important initiative towards promoting electric vehicles in India. In this article, let us know what special features this car has brought.
New Style and Design of Kia EV6 Facelift
The design of the new Kia EV6 facelift is more stylish and modern than before. Its front has new star map headlights and thin LED light bars, which give it a futuristic look. Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy is the foundation of its design.
Apart from this, new 19-inch alloy wheels and changes in the rear bumper make it even more stunning. This car is available in five colors – Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Wolf Gray, Runway Red, and Yacht Blue Matte.

There are not many changes in the cabin, but whatever updates have been made, they make it more premium. There are two 12.3-inch screens on the dashboard, which are for the infotainment system and driver display.
This setup looks stylish as well as easy to use. Kia has given a new steering wheel with a fingerprint sensor in this car, so that the driver can start the car without a key. Such small updates make this car special.
Power of the Battery and Performance
The biggest change in the new Kia EV6 is seen in its battery. It now has an 84 kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery, which is larger and lighter than the old 77.4 kWh battery pack. This battery gives 8% more energy and claims to give a range of up to 663 kilometers on a full charge (ARAI certified).
It has two electric motors that generate 325 horsepower and 605 Nm of torque with an all-wheel drive system. It takes 5.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, which is 0.1 seconds slower than before, but it is fast enough for everyday use.
Talking about charging, this car supports a 350 kW DC fast charger, which can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. If you have a 50 kW charger, it will take 73 minutes. This fast charging system makes long journeys very convenient. Kia has built it on the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), which makes this car stronger and more efficient.

Plenty of safety and features
The new Kia EV6 Facelift is also very strong in terms of safety. It has features like 8 airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic stability control (ESC), and hill-hold assist. The most important thing is that it gets an updated version of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), which includes 27 safety features. It has safety systems like blind-spot collision avoidance, rear-cross traffic alert, and smart cruise control, which make driving even safer.
Apart from this, the new Kia EV6 Facelift has been given Kia Connect 2.0 technology, which has more than 100 connected features. You can monitor your car remotely and also get over-the-air (OTA) updates. Through the Digital Key 2.0 feature, you can use your smartphone as a car key. All these advanced features keep this car far ahead in terms of technology.
Price and competition
The new Kia EV6 Facelift is priced at Rs 65.9 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available only in the GT-Line AWD variant. The older model had two variants, but now the entry-level RWD variant has been dropped.
At this price, the car competes with electric SUVs like the Volvo C40 Recharge, BMW i4, and the Hyundai Ioniq 5. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 starts at Rs 46 lakh, making it cheaper than the EV6, but the EV6’s AWD system and premium features set it apart.
Overall, the Kia EV6 facelift has come as a great electric SUV, offering strong range, powerful performance and advanced technology features. If you are looking to buy a premium electric car, then this can be a great option.
